EnduraCharge™ technology is deployed on Unigen's Model 2500c, to prevent corruption or data loss in the event of an unintentional power interrupt. This technology totally eliminates unscheduled downtime for drive reformatting and reinstalling system OS.
Improvements on the EnduraCharge™ drives involve the use of polymer capacitors. Polymer capacitors feature longer life, low and stable ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance), and tolerance to higher ripple currents compared to electrolytic capacitors. Low and stable ESR significantly improves response to current transitions, prevents malfunction and dangerous thermal runaways. Unlike electrolytic capacitors, polymers do not generate dangerous gasses during operation.
The Model 2500c drives, designed around the LSI SF-2500 controllers, are ideal for network attached storage systems and large scale computing, or mission critical platforms. They offer best-in-class performance, high-level AES encryption, and data reliability. With an impressive random 4kB file read/write performance of up to 60K IOPS, the Unigen EnduraCharge™ drives take fast data streaming speed, application load time and on-line transaction processing to the next level.
