Lake Placid, NY Resort Named Finalist in Conde Nast Traveler 2013 World Savers Awards

LAKE PLACID, N.Y., Aug. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Out of a record 174 applications from around the globe, the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort in Lake Placid, NY has been named a finalist in Condé Nast Traveler's 2013 World Savers Awards in the "Large Resorts" category.

Now in its sixth year, the annual World Savers competition recognizes the efforts of the travel industry's most visionary companies and organizations taking innovative steps toward sustainable and environmentally friendly travel solutions.

The Golden Arrow is one of two resorts in the United States to have been recognized in this category, alongside resorts located in California, Sri Lanka, India, and Malaysia, in what is being considered the competition's most competitive year to date.
