Publication of Supplementary Prospectus

The Company has today published a supplementary prospectus approved by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (the "Supplementary Prospectus").  The publication of the Supplementary Prospectus is a regulatory requirement under the Prospectus Rules following the publication of the Company and Fund's interim report and financial statements for the six month period ended 30 June 2013.

The Supplementary Prospectus is supplemental to, and should be read in conjunction with, the prospectus published by the Company on 19 October 2012 in relation to a placing programme in respect of up to 85 million shares in the Fund, as supplemented by a supplementary prospectus published on 16 April 2013 following the publication of the Company and Fund's annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 December 2012.

Copies of the Supplementary Prospectus will shortly be available for inspection at www.hemscott.com/nsm.do.

Copies of the Supplementary Prospectus are also available in electronic form on the Company's website at www.middlefield.co.uk and, until 18 October 2013, at the offices of Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, 3 More London Riverside, London SE1 2AQ and at the registered office of the Company and the Fund at Wests Centre, St. Helier, Jersey JE4 8PQ.
