NIWOT, CO--(Marketwired - Aug 28, 2013) - The LXI Consortium today announced that Rigol Technologies is now a fully approved LXI test house in China capable of testing the core LXI Standard as well as all of the LXI Extended Functions. Currently there are four LXI test vendors: two in the US, one in Europe, and one in China. LXI member companies can privately arrange with one of the LXI testing houses to certify their products as LXI compliant or attend one of the LXI Plug Fests to have their product tested at no additional cost. The next LXI Plug Fest is scheduled October 16-18 in Dallas, Texas.
"Since becoming a Strategic level member of the LXI Consortium last year, Rigol Technologies has been instrumental in developing and marketing the LXI test platform in Asia," said Steve Schink, President of the LXI Consortium. "Rigol Technologies hosted the enormously successful LXI China event in May 2013 at their facility in Beijing, and now as a fully certified LXI test house, they can provide both core and Extended Function LXI conformance testing services to other companies interested in certifying their products in Asia," Schink added.
Certification ensures that all LXI products work seamlessly together, in an open standard environment and with a consistent Web interface. Currently there are 2200 LXI (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) compliant instruments, in 236 different product families, developed by LXI Consortium member companies. A complete list and searchable database of registered LXI products can be found on the Consortium's website: http://www.lxistandard.org/Products/ProductList.aspx
