SmartGuy Group A/S – Klaus Nyengaard new Chairman candidate
SmartGuy Group has expanded its growth intitiatives during the past year and management has been working on a project level with Klaus Nyengaard, former CEO of the e-commerce success Just Eat .
The cooperation is now being expanded, as Klaus Nyengaard will be announced as Chairman candidate when the agenda for the upcoming SmartGuy Group A/S' Ordinary Annual General Meeting will be announced at a later date in October. Klaus’ candidacy is being supported by major shareholders in the company.
Klaus Nyengaard is MSc in Economics from Aarhus University and has a background from McKinsey followed by a number of senior positions and start-ups within the e-commerce industry.
As a digital entrepreneur Klaus has succeeded in developing Just Eat from a small Danish company to a world leading internet company with annual growth rates of 80 percent and with over 1,000 employees on four continents .
Klaus Nyengaard says, "SmartGuy has huge potential and I see the fashion online business in the Nordic region and internationally advance significantly over the next years. I am excited to help move the business up in a different league”.
CEO at SmartGuy Group A/S Nicolai Kærgaard says, "I am pleased that Klaus will now engage in a more active role, since we have so many big decisions to make over the next years, and Klaus will contribute with his experience. I am proud to attract such a capacity”.
Klaus Nyengaard will be working closely with the other board members, among others Christian Stadil, who is the owner of Thornico, Hummel, Sanovo, Lactosan and Thorco.
