FRANKLIN, TN--(Marketwired - Oct 3, 2013) - In October, Naxos of America launches eight labels for distribution including Acousence Classics, ARS Produktion, Animal Music, Folk Dune Records, Global Language Project, Harbinger Records, Musicaphon, and Oberlin Music.
Acousence Classics offers recordings of symphonic orchestral music in emotionally intense performances. The spontaneity and naturalness of live performances captured with a highly refined recording technique creates as near to a true concert experience as possible.
The classical label ARS Produktion was founded in 1988 by Annette Schumacher, with the aim to give aspiring artists a musical home. Manfred Schumacher, sound engineer and manager is responsible for the excellent recording quality of ARS Produktion releases.
Animal Music is an independent Czech music label who specializes in modern jazz and blues music. The label was established in 2007 by music, film score composer and entertainment lawyer Petr Ostrouchov.
Folk Dune Records was established in 2005 by composer Uri Sharlin. Based in Brooklyn, NY, its catalogue draws from a pool of the most accomplished musicians in various musical styles. It is a platform for the work of artists who generate creative music which is a crossover between jazz, world and classical music.
Global Language Project (GLP) is an educational movement that seeks to equip disadvantaged public school students with the skills to compete in a globalized world. Harbinger Records was founded in 1983 by Ken Bloomand and Bill Rudman and specializes in the Great American Songbook. Artists range from Peggy Lee, Michael Feinstein and Sylvia McNair to historic recordings by Richard Rodgers and songwriter Hugh Martin.
