LENEXA, Kan., Oct. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mediware Information Systems, Inc. announced today that it plans to build the preeminent business management solution for home medical equipment (HME), home infusion, specialty pharmacy and home health providers by investing heavily in the CPR+ platform. The investment will combine the most powerful features from each of the Mediware products, along with a seamless data conversion utility.
During the last 5 years Mediware has acquired several products and more than 1,300 home care customers. The Company will capitalize on the strengths of each product, which will be the building blocks for the new software solution.
"We are 100 percent committed to our customer's success. To that end, we pledge to make the path to a single product platform both operationally smooth and very cost-effective," said Thomas Mann, Mediware's president and chief executive officer. "We will fully honor all customer commitments for support and updates. In the coming months, we will add development resources to the CPR+ platform in order to accelerate development of a robust data migration engine and best in class functionality." Mann added, "This investment will bring all the strengths of our company into a single product platform."
CPR+, acquired by Mediware in July 2013, supports more than 650 HME, home infusion and specialty pharmacy providers nationwide. Future development will be built on .NET technology connected to an open SQL Server database. According to Mediware director of product development Scott Winchester, the Company plans to offer both an on-premise and hosted model. "We understand how important it is for our customers to be able to leverage and fully control access to their data," said Winchester. "Our entire software development architecture reflects that philosophy."
Mann concluded, "We understand that our customers rely on our software and support services to successfully manage their businesses. We take that responsibility very seriously. We also understand the investment they have made in Mediware products, and we will continue to work to ensure their complete satisfaction with our software and service offerings, now and in the future."
