ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwired - Oct. 15, 2013) - Vulcan Minerals Inc. ("the Company" - "Vulcan") (TSX VENTURE:VUL) is pleased to announce that it has received from the Alberta government ten Metallic and Industrial Mineral Permits covering 91648 hectares in northeastern Alberta. These permits were issued pursuant to the applications described in the news release dated September 16, 2013. They encompass all of the application area.
The Company continues to compile relevant information regarding the potential for uranium deposits similar to the Paterson Lake South discoveries of Fission Uranium Corp and Alpha Minerals Inc. approximately 50 miles northeast of the permits. The primary targets on the permits are generally interpreted to occur at depths less than 300 metres.
