Buick - Global Car

Detroit, Nov. 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The world is getting smaller… at least the automotive world. While most car companies are global enterprises - selling vehicles on every continent - building a truly "global car" that meets all the design, engineering and cultural needs of every major market, has been nearly impossible. That doesn't mean some aren't trying.

To the customer a "global car" means engineers and designers have the freedom to blend the handling, design and features which customers look for in every market into one single vehicle. The result is higher quality and better value. And it seems to be working, Buick has made significant quality gains according to many third party experts and has recorded year over year sales gains for the past 18 consecutive months.

Buick says that Americans want European-inspired handling in their premium cars, so the partnership with Opel is ideal. So much so, they are already working on replicating the global success of the Regal with other vehicles in their line-up.
