RONA: A Preferred Partner for Home Improvement in Quebec

BOUCHERVILLE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 4, 2013) - RONA inc. (TSX:RON)(TSX:RON.PR.A), a Canadian distributor and a retailer of hardware, home renovation and gardening products, is expanding its offering to better serve Quebecers who want to improve their homes.

"With EcoRenov, the Québec government's new refundable tax credit program for eco-friendly home renovation, we expect to see much greater interest in home improvement projects in the coming months," said Claire Bara, Marketing Vice-President.

Customers can count on the RONA store network in Québec to help them with their projects by providing services that range from the initial design and quote, to financing and carrying out the actual renovation work. "Our offering reminds consumers that we are a preferred partner for Quebecers who want to add value to their property or just make their home a more pleasant place to be," said Bara.

Financing

Until November 30, 2013, RONA customers will have access to a financing plan that lets them put their purchases on their RONAdvantages program's credit card for two months, interest and payment-free. The total amount of purchases will then be divided into 24 equal monthly payments, no interest. All renovation projects are eligible for the program, not just ones under the EcoRenov plan.

Plus, members of the RONAdvantages program double their AIR MILES^® reward miles and receive up to 5% of their annual purchases back in the form of a RONA gift card. Customers can apply to the RONAdvantages program in store.

These benefits are over and above the tax credit from EcoRenov.

EcoRenov: eligible products

To make it easy for customers to quickly identify products that are eligible for the tax credit, a list has been put online at rona.ca/en/ecorenov and special signs will be posted in the stores.

Installation Services

For the past several years, RONA L'Entrepôt and most RONA stores across Canada have been offering expert consulting services for many different kinds of projects. They are carried out by qualified contractors and installers whose work is guaranteed for one year.

Consumers can now submit requests for a consultation for a renovation project by visiting rona.consultation or calling 1 855-RONA123.

Note that EcoRenov is a new program that offers a 20% tax credit on eligible green renovation projects. It is intended for individuals who have a qualified contractor carry out eco-friendly renovation work by October 31, 2014. For more information, click here.
