ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) and Prometric, trusted provider of market-leading test development and delivery solutions, today announced a multi-year contract renewal for the delivery of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) program. The Federation is made up of 53 member boards, including all 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Federation and Prometric began computer-based testing in 1996, a migration from paper-based testing of the NPTE.

Nearly 30,000 NPTE exams are delivered in computer-based format over four testing windows per year.
