FULLERTON, Calif., Jan. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As the wave of craft beer begins to crest, and the endless array of flavored beverages becomes tiresome, Bourbon Street Bar and Grill in Fullerton is offering something new: Unpretentious Wine Thursday for new and old friends to converse in cheerful pockets throughout the restaurant, along the bar, and outside on a lovely heated wraparound patio from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, 110 E. Commonwealth Ave. in Downtown Fullerton in Orange County starting with the first event on January 23, 2014, and every third Thursday of subsequent months through 2014. The $10 per-person event is reflective of new trends in beverages across the nation for "innovation" wines that are good-tasting and easy to drink immediately upon opening.
The only location in Fullerton offering a wine pairing with this accessible approach and at this price point, visitors of the new informal monthly series will enjoy three tastings of wines from The Great American Wine Company with three pairings of thoughtful seasonal and local small plates as part of this unique downtown Fullerton experience.
Unpretentious Wine Thursday will start on January 23, themed, "The Great American Wines" and will feature a 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2012 Red Blend and a 2012 Chardonnay, with a percent of the proceeds donated by the Great American Wine Company to military charities. Future dates of February 20 and March 20 will feature new wines and new themes.
