WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Jan 16, 2014) - GSN Games today announced the beta launch of the GSN Cash Games mobile site, the first-ever mobile-optimized cash tournament site for U.S. players. Extending the reach of GSN Games' leading cash tournament website, WorldWinner.com, the new GSN Cash Games mobile site lets casual gamers play skill games for real cash prizes on smartphones and tablets. The mobile site launches with cash games in Solitaire Rush, which has historically ranked as a top-performing title on WorldWinner.com.
GSN Games built the mobile Open Web site using HTML5, offering cash tournaments to iOS and Android users via a mobile Web browser. The GSN Cash Games mobile site was created in partnership with Bocoup, an Open Web technology company based in Boston.
"With the growing population of mobile gamers, GSN Games is thrilled to offer skill-based cash tournaments through the GSN Cash Games mobile-optimized site," said Jeremy Stein, senior product manager, mobile of GSN Games. "The GSN Cash Games mobile site will bring our most popular titles and the excitement of competing for cash prizes to players, wherever they are."
"Together with GSN Games, we are creating new industry standards and breaking down barriers for future HTML5 development through Open Web technologies," said Boaz Sender, managing director of Bocoup. "This partnership demonstrates the high caliber of talent and commitment to innovation at GSN Games, and we are excited to continue our collaboration in the coming months."
Players can enter cash tournaments or hone their skills in free, practice tournaments by logging on to WorldWinner.com from the Safari or Chrome browsers on their mobile device. The GSN Cash Games mobile site allows players to choose a tournament type based on the number of players, entry fee or cash prize amount. From the account screen, players can make a deposit or withdraw cash winnings to a linked bank account. A user's account profile, balance and preferences are seamlessly connected across desktop and mobile Web experiences.
Cash tournaments in Solitaire Rush are currently available on the GSN Cash Games mobile site. GSN Games will add tournaments in Wheel of Fortune® and Catch-21 in Q1 2014, with additional titles to follow later in the year.
