NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Hip Hop Hall of Fame tapped hip-hop veterans Easy AD of the legendary Cold Crush Brothers and DJ Lord YodaX of the Crash Crew & Zulu Nation for HHHOF Preservation & Exhibits Development team, and Artists Outreach Relations committee. The duo will also co-develop the Harlem Pop-Up Hip Hop Museum with Developer Chairman JT Thompson, which will serve as the temporary site until the HHHOF Midtown Manhattan Development project is completed in 18-24 months. The pop-up museum will feature artifacts & memorabilia, scale models of Hall of Fame, visitor's bureau, offices, and multi-media broadcast studio for content programming on http://hiphophof.org . Veterans Easy AD a Hip Hop Collector, Master MC, and Educator in his own right with Harlem Hospitals Hip Hop Health youth program serving throughout NYC schools, and DJ Lord YodaX a Community Organizer, and Hip Hop Artist & Cultural Relations specialist have been part of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame team from its inception in the early 1990s. They both participated in the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show created and executive produced by JT Thompson that aired on BET Network in the 1990s. The show is set to return in May 2014 during Hip Hop Appreciation Week, and was initially set up to be the main fundraising vehicle for establishing the HHHOF Museum following the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame template.
Easy AD will Co-Chair the Preservation & Exhibits Committee with Hip Hop Alliance members that include the Smithsonian, Cornell U, RockHall, Grammy Museum, Tupac Center, and other independent Collections to plan, strategize, and engineer the HHHOF Exhibit development, Collection sharing, Education programming, and historical archives.
DJ Lord YodaX will Co-Chair the Artists and Cultural Outreach efforts collecting memorabilia and artifacts from MC's, DJ's, Graff Artists, B-Boys/Girls, Crews, Entrepreneurs, and Icons from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and present day.
