Launched in 2004, Boom's founders Joni Winkler and Barbara Gutjahr wanted to find a way to work with clients in a more meaningful way -- building strategies that worked, from the ground up. "We formed Boom because we believed that to create the most successful campaigns for our clients we needed to be their partners. Our vision has allowed us to gain the trust of our clients so that we are able to contribute to their broadcast tactics from the very beginning -- not only to the story itself but how we will tell the story," said Barbara Gutjahr, founding partner at Boom.
"Like many small business owners, we launched this company out of a passion for what we do, a desire to do it better, and the dream of making a change for the industry and our clients," said Joan Winkler, co-founder of Boom Broadcast. "A huge part of our business model is giving back. We support causes that are close to our heart here at Boom. We give time off for volunteer hours, and as part of our milestone, we'll be adding to our pro-bono work in the arena of women's health and safety.
