No 11/14 Trade Repository Reporting - Temporary deviations to TR Handbook

NASDAQ OMX Clearing has published an EMIR trade reporting handbook (see link below) that details how NASDAQ OMX Clearing will construct its trade reports, to aid members that need to submit matching trade reports for their cleared trades with NASDAQ OMX.

Due to limitations and uncertainties on format validations at different Trade Repositories for some mandatory fields in the EMIR Reporting, NASDAQ OMX Clearing has been forced to implement temporary deviations to its trade reporting. The following chapters in the handbook are affected:

Chapter 6.2.9 - Quantity (Field 16):

The handbook specifies reporting quantity with decimals for various commodity products. Not all Trade Repositories will be able to accommodate quantity in decimals from 12th of February. NASDAQ OMX Clearing will initially report all quantities rounded to the nearest non-decimal value, e.g. a quantity of 0.4 or lower as 0, and a quantity of 0.5 or higher as 1, in order to avoid the whole report being rejected due to format validation by the Trade Repository.

Chapter 6.4.1 - Clearing Obligation (Field 28):

Not all Trade Repositories will be able to accommodate blank as a value, and NASDAQ OMX Clearing will therefore report NO.

Chapter 6.4.5 - Intragroup (Field 32):

Not all Trade Repositories will be able to accommodate blank as a value, and NASDAQ OMX Clearing will therefore report NO.

NASDAQ OMX Clearing will issue a new Clearing Information Notice when these temporary deviations to the Handbook are due to cease.
