Prolight International Builds Fiber-Speed Wireless Network Throughout Egypt With Exalt

CAMPBELL, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 12, 2014) - Exalt Communications, Inc., the leading innovator of next-generation packet microwave backhaul systems, today announced that Prolight International, a wireless Internet service provider based in Giza, Egypt has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to deliver broadband and VoIP services at fiber-speed to its business and residential customers across Egypt.

Because wireline infrastructure in Egypt is extremely unreliable and does not deliver the bandwidth Prolight International (Prolight) requires to serve its customers, the company chose Exalt systems to deliver high-speed Internet connectivity with high reliability. These systems currently carry 100 megabits per-second (Mbps) of Ethernet traffic, but can be expanded to 1 gigabit per-second (Gbps) via simple license key upgrades.

Prolight has been so pleased with its initial Exalt deployments that it is standardizing its network on Exalt equipment.
