This integration will allow BBM users to share their movements, in real-time, directly with chosen BBM Contacts. Users can access Glympse from the sharing menu, instantly answering the question of "where are you?" with a dynamic map that updates in real-time with the sender's movements. There is no need to open a separate app or interrupt the conversation flow, and users benefit from a simple, easy way to share their location with friends.
Glympse is a perfect fit for the BBM platform with its focus on immediacy and sharing. As Glympse allows people to choose how long to share their location -- up to four hours -- the service aligns well with the control and privacy that BBM offers. Users can add more time to their Glympse or stop sharing their location at any point, and this applies to one-on-one chat or larger group conversations. Any member of the group can automatically add themselves to the map.
