New York, NY, Feb. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SuperME will be an exhibitor at the 111th Annual American International Toy Fair®. The Toy Fair is the largest toy and youth product marketplace in the Western Hemisphere, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibiting manufacturers, distributors, importers and sales agents from around the globe to showcase their toy and entertainment products. Starting Sunday, February 16, 2014 SuperME superhero backpacks and accessories are flying into the Annual American International Toy Fair®.
SuperME was developed by designer Daphne Kaufer. The inspiration for SuperME came from her own children, Adam and Anna, who love dressing up and playing superheroes. Daphne wanted to create a line of functional superhero inspired products that are creative to play with and reflected the uniqueness of each child in a meaningful and sustainable way. The now very popular SuperME cape backpack came about when Daphne's son asked her for a superhero backpack. Not wanting to buy him the standard, commercial product that was the only thing available, Daphne made him the first cape backpack - making him his own superhero! This first prototype became the foundation to a whole new line of other unique SuperME products.
The American International Toy Fair® is one of a few major toy industry trade shows held around the world. This annual event attracted more than 1,500 manufacturers, distributors, importers and sales agents from 30 countries to display their toy and entertainment products in over 300,000 square feet of exhibit space last year! It is considered the largest and most influential trade show in North America for toys and youth entertainment products.
