COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 26, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, has named Matt Kramer as Managing Partner of its Columbus office, effective March 1.
In his new role, Kramer will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the 150 person office and in continuing to make KPMG a great place to build a career. For the past 11 years, he has led KPMG's fast-growing advisory practice in Columbus, serving clients in retail, manufacturing, financial services and healthcare. "I am honored and excited by the opportunity to lead KPMG in a market that I have called home for 33 years," said Kramer. "Our partners and professionals in Columbus have built an impressive record of success helping clients to navigate business challenges and I look forward to building upon that success."
"Matt brings tremendous leadership experience to this role, and has been critical in assisting many Fortune 1000 companies with their growth agendas," said Robert Arning, KPMG's Vice Chair of Market Development. "We know he will continue to build on the great work Philip Smith has done for many years in Columbus."
Smith has served as office managing partner since 2006.
"It has been my privilege to serve the Columbus market and to work with so many wonderful people and clients," said Smith. "I leave this role knowing the office has a bright future as Matt has contributed significantly to building a collaborative team focused on client service, supporting the community and growing our business."
