CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - March 4, 2014) - Gibson Energy Inc. ("Gibson" or the "Company"), (TSX:GEI), announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per common share payable to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 31, 2014 which is payable on April 17, 2014. This dividend is designated as an eligible dividend for Canadian income tax purposes. For non-resident shareholders, Gibson's dividends are subject to Canadian withholding tax.
This quarterly dividend reflects a 9% increase from the prior quarterly rate. "Today's dividend announcement represents the fourth increase since our initial public offering in June, 2011," said Donald Fowlis, Chief Financial Officer. "Given the solid growth prospects for the Company, we believe today's dividend increase provides an attractive cash yield to our shareholders while retaining an appropriate portion of cash flow to fund growth capital investments. We continue to practice conservative financial management and maintain ample liquidity and a strong balance sheet."
