The Internet and ICTs (information and communications technologies) form a fundamental building block of the modern global economy. Recent developments have focused global attention on online privacy, trust, security and freedom. New policies in these areas could dramatically reshape the online experience for users, including business, and undermine the potential of the Internet and ICTs to serve as engines for jobs creation and growth.

This timely conference will explore the role of the 34-nation Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in policy development to ensure the Internet and ICTs continue to contribute to growth, jobs and prosperity. The United States Council for International Business (USCIB) is organizing the event in conjunction with the Paris-based OECD and BIAC, the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD.
