Integrated Listening Systems Debuts New Sleep Device

More Than 80% of the Participants in a Recent Study Showed a Significant Relaxation Response Within 15 Minutes of Using the Dreampad(TM) Pillow

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Mar 11, 2014) - Integrated Listening Systems (iLs), a provider of multi-sensory programs and products for improving brain function and emotional regulation, today announced the general availability of the new Dreampad™. The Dreampad is a specialized pillow that delivers music through a subtle vibration that only the user is able to hear. The music evokes a relaxation response from the user and has been aptly described as a "massage to the nervous system."

A recent study measuring the effect of the Dreampad showed a significant increase in the study participants' ability to relax. The study used SleepImage, a portable device for collecting sleep quality data. Relaxation was assessed using heart rate variability (HRV), one of the most accepted ways of measuring the autonomic nervous system's relaxation response. Nine of the 11 people in the study that utilized the Dreampad showed relaxation response within 15 minutes.

"The Dreampad offers an exquisite solution to transition you into the slumber your body and mind crave. Not until the Dreampad had I experienced sleep music in such a calming and effective manner," said Nancy Rothstein, The Sleep Ambassador and sleep consultant. "Sleep is not a luxury; it's a necessity. The Dreampad, luxurious though it may be, offers a wonderful way to enhance your sleep."

In addition to the Dreampad, iLs provides a multi-sensory program for improving brain function and emotional regulation while training the brain to process sensory information. iLs equipment utilizes sound therapy by combining it with visual and balance activities performed while listening. iLs is successfully applied to a wide variety of conditions, including those related to emotional and behavioral regulation, sensory processing, communication and social skills including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, and Parkinson's.

"This new data supports what we see clinically when users who suffer from stress, anxiety and trauma begin utilizing the Dreampad," said Ron Minson, MD, Clinical Director at iLs. "The Dreampad helps them relax and improves their sleep. Better quality sleep improves just about every aspect of a person's life -- providing benefit in school or work performance, relationships and emotional stability."

The Dreampad's Intrasound technology provides a deeper level of calm and relaxation than regular speaker music and relieves stress, improves sleep, and decreases sensory hypersensitivity. For prospective customers, the Dreampad purchase includes a 30-day free trial period.
