GOLDEN, CO--(Marketwired - Mar 14, 2014) - Demartek, an independent computer industry analyst firm with its own computer test lab, today announces that it has evaluated a Dell dual-PERC RAID controller high availability system.
"High availability (HA) configurations are becoming increasingly important, especially in virtualized environments," said Dennis Martin, Demartek President. "We deployed dual Dell PERC H710P controllers with a split backplane in a Dell PowerEdge R820 server to compare performance of the system under various failure conditions. We found that a mirrored backplane configuration was an effective way to provide high availability with equal or better performance than a single, un-mirrored backplane configuration."
