Sauer Energy Chooses Tru-Form Plastics to Produce WindRider(R) Blades

CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 18, 2014) - Sauer Energy Inc.® ("SEI") (OTCQB: SENY), developer of the patented WindCharger® vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) and manufacturer of the patented WindRider® vertical axis wind turbine, announced that it has collaborated with Tru-Form Plastics, Inc. ("Tru-Form"), a California corporation, in Gardena, California, to produce the blades for its WindRider turbine. Full production of the blades for the new WindRider is scheduled to begin shortly. Molds now ordered, SEI and Tru-Form have reached a level of well-balanced security for the work that lies ahead.

The WindRider is Sauer Energy's helixical design formerly built by HelixWind®. It has been re-engineered and extensively tested. SEI's team of engineers, designers and consultant experts have worked tirelessly to transition from technology to full scale prototyping and rigorous testing to manufacturing.

In accordance with SEI quality requirements, Tru-Form was chosen for its many certifications and ability to deliver. They also have the 9401A certification, which is a stringent standard primarily used in the aerospace industry. SEI is certain that the assurance of quality and performance will be transferred to the end-user.

About Tru-Form Plastics

A privately held company established in 1956, Tru-Form Plastics, Inc., manufactures thermoformed components to customer specifications. Tru-Form is ISO9001:2008 and AS9100:2009 certified. The company is recognized for Engineering Excellence, Innovative Design Solutions, and Customer Service Orientation. Our website: www.tru-formplastics.com

Tru-Form Sales Manager Jack Schrieffer notes there are two critical factors in the development of the plastic components. "The WindRider® is a highly engineered design, requiring a "spline" geometry for continuous and efficient operation. This presented unique challenges for the tool layout and manufacturing process. The second critical element was material selection. A polycarbonate material with an extensive track record of durability was selected. Tru-Form Plastics broad experience with many engineering grades of thermoplastic material benefited the selection process."

SEI engineering has worked closely with Tru-Form engineering and determined that the thermoforming process is the ideal way to produce the new, improved blades, which were originally stamped aluminum in Asia. The thermoforming process uses sheets of material, which results in lower residual stresses in parts.

Strong and lightweight, state-of-the-art Makrolon® GP polycarbonate was carefully chosen for the end product because of its ideal balance of characteristics. It is resistant to the elements, tolerates prolonged exposure to temperature variations, withstands extreme dry or wet weather, salt and contain UV-stabilizers that protect against long-term degradation. This winning combination can meet expectations of rugged performance while adding efficiency.

"It became clear that launching the WindRider first would be the most capital efficient path to market. There is every confidence that the WindRider will rise to high market demand. While bringing jobs home to Americans, we can ensure high quality products that the end users can rely on. Once we step into revenues, we believe our stock will reflect favorably.

We are extremely pleased with our choice of Tru-Form and for the opportunity to bring in domestic jobs. Their close proximity to our facility will enable us to pick up product and nearly eliminating shipping time and expense. Their production capabilities can easily be ramped up to meet the demand we expect to see and help us coordinate production schedules and inventory management. As the adoption rate and demand rises, expansion will create even more employment opportunities," commented Dieter Sauer, President and CEO.

About Sauer Energy Inc.
Sauer Energy Inc. is a technology developer and manufacturer focused on the emerging renewable energy market. In the very near future, SEI plans to offer the patented helixical WindRider model vertical axis wind turbine that employs the HelixWind technology it purchased in 2012. The performance enhanced design modifications should deliver superior results. They are specifically designed to be pole mounted and can respond to the demand for applications that do not require roof mounting.

SEI has created the WindCharger brand model to provide a better solution for the use of wind capture for residential or small building use. We believe that because it requires so few parts, SEI's technology, which provides a new direction for wind capture and will easily scale from residential to small community and up to large industrial scale. The market opportunity for a new, innovative technology is unlimited.

The WindCharger is one of Sauer Energy's key innovations. With several patents in place and many more pending, SEI is engaged in manufacturing and commercialization now, and plans to see a financial return on its investments. To learn more about Sauer Energy, please visit: www.SauerEnergy.com
