EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 27, 2014) - Global expert services and consulting firm Berkeley Research Group has enhanced its labor and employment expertise with the addition of Director Cristina Banks, Ph.D., Principal Elizabeth Arnold, and Senior Managing Consultant Chester Hanvey, Ph.D., who join from Lamorinda Consulting, LLC. They will be based in BRG's Emeryville, California, office.

Dr. Banks is an industrial-organizational psychologist who specializes in labor and employment law and compliance. She is an expert in job analysis and work measurement methodologies, selection test development and validation, and wage/hour and employment law compliance. She has conducted hundreds of job studies, published articles and book chapters, and given presentations on the subjects of wage and hour compliance, human resource management, performance measurement, and job design. She has provided expert testimony at deposition and/or trial in more than 65 cases.
Ms. Arnold has more than 13 years of experience providing consulting services on labor and employment law compliance issues. She has advised leading law firms and companies nationwide on more than 100 state and federal class-action wage and hour litigation cases across industries ranging from retail and beverage delivery to meat processing and gaming. She advises clients on implementing research methodologies that address complex legal compliance issues including misclassification (i.e., exempt versus non-exempt employees), donning and doffing, off-the-clock work, missed meal and rest breaks, and tip pooling.
Dr. Hanvey provides consulting services on labor and employment issues. He has worked with a variety of companies across a broad range of industries, specializing in designing and conducting job and statistical analyses to assess issues such as wage and hour compliance, appropriateness of class certification, discrimination, and damage estimates.
