New York City Plastic Surgeon Highlights Takeaways From Baker Gordon Symposium

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Apr 2, 2014) -  Manhattan plastic surgeon Stafford R. Broumand, MD recently returned from the 48th Annual Baker Gordon Symposium that took place in Miami, FL. In an effort to collaborate and share new ideologies with leading minds in the field of plastic surgery, he attended a variety of seminars pertaining to progressive aesthetic surgery concepts and developments throughout the duration of the event.

According to a blog post on his website titled My Recent Trip to the 2014 Baker Gordon Symposium, Dr. Broumand particularly enjoyed topics regarding fat grafting and eyelid rejuvenation. In regard to eyelid rejuvenation, Dr. Broumand notes, "The second topic I found particularly interesting pertained to eyelid surgery, and the ideology that 'less aggressive is better.'" Contrary to more aggressive methods, which he defines as "dismantling the eye and then reconfiguring it," the Manhattan plastic surgeon explains that a more effective approach to eyelid surgery is to target the specific issue (such as excess skin or fat displacement) while leaving surrounding areas intact.

Ultimately, Dr. Broumand says he learned a lot from the Baker Gordon Symposium, and he felt the entire experience was truly worthwhile.
