REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 10, 2014) - Actiance, a provider of compliance, security, archiving and eDiscovery for all critical business communications, today announced the appointment of Trevor Daughney as vice president of marketing. This appointment supports the company's recent launch of Alcatraz, the industry's first context-aware, cloud archive for all critical business communications, including email. Daughney will further the company's growth within the information governance market.
Daughney brings over 15 years of experience marketing enterprise SaaS software and technology. Prior to joining Actiance, he was senior director of global enterprise product marketing at Symantec where, among other responsibilities, he integrated the go-to-market strategy for their recent archiving and eDiscovery acquisitions. Daughney, Symantec's 2012 marketer of the year, also launched a new product line that has grown to over $300M in revenue after only 4 years.
"With the launch of Alcatraz and the ability to provide archiving and eDiscovery with context for all critical business communications, we have created an exciting growth market opportunity for enterprise information governance," said Actiance CEO, Kailash Ambwani. "I'm delighted to welcome Trevor Daughney as we continue down this path of growth and innovation."
Actiance has been helping companies roll-out productive communications and collaboration for more than a decade. The company's extensive background in regulatory compliance and information governance uniquely positions Actiance to address the intersection of emerging communications channels with increasingly complex governance needs, especially in highly regulated and highly litigious industries such as financial services, public sector, energy, healthcare and pharma. The appointment of Daughney is testament to Actiance's dedication in equipping customers with the technology to enable compliant, productive business communications and collaboration.
Daughney will be speaking on behalf of Actiance at the Sharepoint Technology Conference on Wednesday, April 23. Presenting on 'The Top Five Gaps in Sharepoint Compliance and eDiscovery,' Daughney will outline the primary risks to the conference's audience of IT professionals, business users and developers.
