Mary's commitment to empowering women extends beyond her community. Her work takes her to remote and distressed areas of the world where she works with healthcare providers, community leaders and government officials to expand access to family planning products and services.
As the Director of Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilence at Woman Care Global, she manages global health programs throughout Africa. As a result of her efforts, women now have greater awareness of and access to effective and affordable contraception. Mary is a nurse practitioner with a Master's Degree in Health Services Management and she has spent her career working on women's reproductive healthcare rights and access. Mary has implemented women's healthcare quality improvement programs in Southern California, the U.S., Kenya and South Africa. She has been a technical advisor to Ministries of Health of Ghana, Kenya, Federal District of Mexico and Nepal in national standards and guidelines for reproductive health.
