ORLANDO, Fla., May 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Athlete Connections is hosting its Sixth Annual Celebrity Golf Classic on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Hawk's Landing at the Orlando World Center Marriott. This year's event will include a pre-tournament Celebrity Cocktail Reception and the opportunity to play golf with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.
"It's been our goal through the Foundation to target thousands of youth to utilize sports help teach life skills along with developing athletic talents. These key values will continue to build character, discipline and structure to empower our student athletes as they strive to reach their highest academic and athletic potential," founder and CEO Dan Cross said. "We have such great support from our board, community, sponsors and our celebrity friends who take the time to come out and support our mission."
Breakfast will kick off this first class tournament with many special on-course contests, food samplings, and beverage stations to follow throughout the day. Proceeds raised will benefit the Athlete Connections Foundation.
