Clearbrook Global Advisors Adds Thomas E. Deegan From Stamford Police Pension Board to Senior Management Position as Managing Director

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 9, 2014) - Clearbrook Global Advisors, a privately held, independent investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Thomas E. Deegan as Managing Director. He will be responsible for overseeing the relationships and operational management for the firm's institutional clients as well as business development for Clearbrook's discretionary business. Mr. Deegan will be based in the firm's New York headquarters and report to Elliott Wislar, Chief Executive Officer of Clearbrook.

Mr. Deegan brings a wealth of experience in pension fund management to Clearbrook, joining the firm from the Stamford Policemen's Pension Fund where he was the independent Trustee of the Board and head of the investment committee responsible for the investment selection and management of the $190MM pension fund. While at the Stamford Policemen's Pension Fund, he introduced and implemented a $50MM Alternative Investment platform which included hedge funds, private equity and real estate portfolios.

Prior to joining Stamford Policemen's Pension Fund, Mr. Deegan was a Founding Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at GlobeOp Financial Services, a provider of outsourced middle- and back-office, and fund administration services for the hedge fund community from 2000 to 2004. While at GlobeOp he managed client operations, derivative processing, and profit-loss accounting globally. 

Mr. Deegan is the recipient of the 2011 Stamford Police Association's Presidents Award for contributions related to work on the Stamford Policemen's Pension Fund. He received his MBA from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College in Bronx, New York.
