Dr. John J. Martin Jr. Featured as Expert Oculoplastic Surgeon at Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 16, 2014) - South Florida facial cosmetic and plastic surgeon, Dr. John J. Martin Jr., will present on illegal fillers, complications, and treatment at the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology on June 20, 2014. At his practice, Dr. Martin treats various patients who have received some kind of facial cosmetic fillers by an unlicensed physician and consequently had dangerous and in some cases life-threatening results.

There has been a noticeable spike in cases of illegal fillers, particularly in South Florida, and Dr. Martin attributes this to the consumer's lack of education on cosmetic procedures and what the unlicensed physicians are injecting into their face, including industrial-grade silicone.

"I think as the incidence of illegal fillers increase, people have to know what can they do to help the people who have had it done and also create some educational venues within their community to warn others about the dangers of having this done," Dr. Martin says. "You really have to get some education to let people know that this is not what you want to be putting into your body."
