HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 20, 2014) - And The Emmy® Goes to...
This time next year it just may be Actress, Playboy Reporter and Daytime Emmy® Host Kira Reed Lorsch. TV Guide Magazine says: "THE BAY is one of the top 10 shows worth watching." Now, with Kira Reed Lorsch on board, it's a must see!
THE BAY is a Daytime Emmy® Nominated, made for web and mobile dramatic series, with over a dozen 20-minute episodes and short format specials about a posh community by the sea. Starring a cast of iconic Daytime and Primetime television stars combined with a cinematic look, THE BAY follows the privileged, yet dysfunctional, Bay City residents whose lives are riddled with lies and scandals that involve forbidden love, blackmail and taboo sex. In its formative years, THE BAY has successfully garnered a strong grassroots fan base.
According to THE BAY's creator, Gregori J. Martin, Kira Reed Lorsch is set to join the third season of the hit series. "Kira's character Jo is like the Madame of the underworld. She is brought in to help clean up the Mayor's (Nicolas Coster, Santa Barbara) mess. I tailor made this part for Kira. She's like Ray Donovan in a dress." Says Kira Reed Lorsch: "It's a dream role come true. I get to be sexy, smart, dangerous and work with the best of Daytime's stars like Matthew Ashford (Days of Our Lives) and Ronn Moss (The Bold and The Beautiful). I believe THE BAY is at the forefront of the future of soaps and it is the best show of the genre -- in any medium."
To kick off the Emmy Weekend, Kira Reed Lorsch will be walking the Red Carpet at the 41st Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards Gala, Friday, June 20th.
Kira Reed Lorsch is an actress, television host, writer, producer and wife of businessman and philanthropist Bob Lorsch. Beyond THE BAY, Kira is currently an entertainment reporter for national syndicator Associated Television International and the spokesperson for MyMedicalRecords.com. Kira spends her time giving back to numerous organizations including The Thalians, where she just chaired the 2014 Gala at House of Blues Sunset strip honoring Smokey Robinson, raising $1 million for UCLA Operation Mend.
