WASHINGTON, June 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers President Charles T. Drevna issued the following statement on, The Renewable Fuel Standard: Issues for 2014 and Beyond, a report by the Congressional Budget Office:
"The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has confirmed what AFPM has been saying for a long time - if the administration increases the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volumes, the cost of producing gasoline and diesel goes up to the detriment of American consumers. This report is the latest evidence that the White House should not play politics with the fuel supply and resist calls to increase the 2014 mandate. The report adds further to the chorus of multiple voices, including more than 218 bipartisan members of the U.S. House of Representatives, calling for repeal or massive reform to the RFS."
