HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2014) - Intergraph is hosting a PV Elite webinar on July 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. CT that will provide an overview of how to use the joint API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 standard to analyze fitness for service (FFS) of existing pressure vessel equipment where corrosion or other suspected damage might lead to a costly shutdown and loss of business. The webinar will review the layout of the code and the different types of damage mechanisms and discuss the meaning of the results and possible paths forward. The webinar will conclude with a demonstration of how to use PV Elite to efficiently perform Level 1 and Level 2 analyses for corrosion. The webinar leader will be Kristin Coyle, developer and QA manager of Intergraph PV Elite. She also serves on the API 579/ASME FFS Code Committee as a contributing member for general and local metal loss and crack-like flaws.
