Advanced Chiropractic Group Adds Impulse Adjusting to Services

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The wellness team at Advanced Chiropractic Group is pleased to announce the addition of impulse adjusting to its list of chiropractic services. Serving the Santa Barbara and Goleta area for over 25 years, the Santa Barbara chiropractors offer multidisciplinary and comprehensive treatments for whole body wellness, using non-invasive procedures to treat acute pain, chronic pain, back and neck pain, and extremity issues.

Advanced Chiropractic Group is pleased to announce the latest addition to their long list of services: impulse adjusting. Dr. Michael York, DC said, "Adding impulse adjusting is just one of the many ways Advanced Chiropractic Group is striving to better serve the health and wellness needs of our patients."

Impulse Adjusting is performed using a patented device that delivers precise and gentle chiropractic adjustments to extremities and the joints of the spine to alleviate pain and restore functionality. The instrument is patented and approved by the FDA for the purpose of making non-invasive chiropractic adjustments. The impulse adjusting device is driven by a micro-computer circuitry within the instrument which emits controlled pulses to treat many different parts of the body.

Dr. York says the gentle pulse emitted from the device is faster than the body's normal response to tense up, making impulse adjusting not only effective, but also efficient. There are three different pulse settings used for each part of the body and the device can treat patients of all ages, from children to seniors.

The Santa Barbara chiropractor added, "The low force pulse also makes chiropractic treatments much more comfortable than previous adjustment techniques. The instrument is specially tuned to each individual's natural body frequency that muscles, joints and nerves respond to, providing optimal results for patients."

The impulse adjusting instrument is among the latest advancements in neuromedical instruments. Dr. York said, "We now have a new way of looking at subluxation, which in turn lets us look at adjusting in a new light. While it used to be believed that pushing the vertebrae back into place was the best course of treatment, new research shows that addressing protective muscles around the vertebrae can be effective." He says the impulse adjustment instrument addresses muscles.

The impulse adjusting device contains a computer chip, motion detector, and accelerometer. The instrument can determine if the chiropractor is adjusting at the correct angle, and changes its rhythm to allow for the best adjustment corrections. Dr. York says patients who have received treatment with this instrument report a reduction in pain as well as improvements in their mobility functions.

Advanced Chiropractic Group is comprised of a whole body wellness team, supervised by Dr. Michael P. Hergenroether, Dr. James A. Cochran, Dr. Michael S. York and Dr. Justin K. Butler. Together, this team of Santa Barbara chiropractors offers more than 70 years of combined experience.
