GRAND FORKS, ND--(Marketwired - Aug 8, 2014) - National healthcare management experts are joining forces to address problem-solving trends and improvement strategies that can close the gap between quality patient care and maintaining profitable clinical operations during the annual Healthcare Management Educational Series (HMES) in Minneapolis.
In partnership with DS&B, Fredrikson & Byron and Alerus Financial, HMES brings healthcare management teams a comprehensive blend of financial, operational and legal expertise that clarifies complexities and accelerates growth.
The annual 5-event educational series offers medical practice CEOs, CFOs, administrators, physician shareholders and practice professionals the chance to gain in-depth information from nationally-recognized healthcare presenters who are experts in controlling change in the ever-evolving field of healthcare management. The events also give attendees a chance to network among their Minnesota colleagues. In addition, lectures qualify as hours towards CPE and ACMPE credits.
Three remaining HMES sessions are:
- Wednesday, Aug. 20: "Evaluating Payer Contracts and Identifying Effective Negotiation Methods." Attendees will learn how to optimize the review of payer and network contracts in order to maximize negotiation procedures as well as how to maximize reimbursements to improve bottom lines. Other topics include: assessing negotiation strategies in contracting with health plans and the paperless movement.
- Thursday, Sept. 18: "Blending Volume with Value: Outcome Based Compensation Strategies in a Changing Environment." Presentions will cover the "art" and the "science" of the physician compensation plan process. This session will examine traditional and emerging payment and compensation methods for physicians and other healthcare providers, with an emphasis on strategies that align volume with quality and other outcomes.
- Wednesday, Nov. 19: "The 2014 National MGMA Conference Recap in Minneapolis." will include several 2014 MGMA presenters for a round table discussion about hot issues. Topics will include: Accountable Care Organizations, Outcome Based Compensation, Total Practice Improvement, Compliance Risk and other new developments.
