NORCROSS, GA--(Marketwired - Aug 14, 2014) - In preparation for Child Abuse Prevention Month this past April, the Family Nurturing Center, a Cincinnati-based, non-profit agency, found itself challenged to find a way to increase awareness to end child abuse. The biggest issue the non-profit faced was broadening the reach of its program. With the support of Covideo® by EasyCare®, a leading innovator of video email, the agency was able to create an effective email marketing campaign reaching tens of thousands and increasing sponsorships and donations by $10,000.
"We were so pleased with the success from this year's campaign, and know that the inclusion of Covideo elevated the professional look of our messages, making them stand out from all the inbox clutter," said Tracy Fuchs, Director of Marketing and Special Events, Family Nurturing Center. "We incorporated Covideo as an added benefit for sponsors. We feel the success they experienced from their gift subscriptions led to new corporate sponsors and encouraged existing sponsors to renew with a higher investment."
In previous years, Family Nurturing Center had promoted a Parenting Tip of the Day program as part of its efforts to drive awareness around Child Abuse Prevention Month. Primarily depending on social media channels they, previously found very little response or engagement. This year, the agency looked to launch a bigger campaign effort and engaged local celebrity parents, including Kathrine Nero (WCPO-TV Ch. 9) and Big Dave Chandler (Cincinnati's Country B105), to create video "selfie" parenting tip messages. Rather than just recording and posting the videos to the agency's website, the organization created and sent the messages through Covideo, and the response exceeded their expectations and previous years' performances.
"We are so pleased to see how Covideo helped support such a great program, bringing more awareness and engagement to a very important cause," said Jason Price, founder of Covideo. "This is a perfect example of how video email is becoming an integral part of marketing strategies, both at for-profit and non-profit organizations. It offers a highly targeted approach, delivered at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional advertising, while creating a personal experience."
