FNC Revolutionizes AppraisalPort(R)

The mortgage technology company releases its new appraisal management portal this Saturday

OXFORD, Miss., Aug. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - FNC, Inc., the company that is revolutionizing mortgage technology, will release a revolutionary version of its own product, AppraisalPort®, this weekend.

The Saturday, Aug. 23, release of a redesigned AppraisalPort benefits users of the mortgage-related software and firmly reiterates that FNC is among the nation's leading software innovators.

"The new AppraisalPort platform is completely modernized. It's one of the more advanced sites you'll see, definitely in our industry and I believe in the technology world in general," said Jon Fisher, managing director of product management at FNC.

Thousands of individual appraisers, appraisal firms and appraisal management companies (AMCs) use AppraisalPort every day to securely receive orders from lenders, efficiently manage the orders, and then securely submit completed appraisal reports back to their lender clients. These processes remain in the new version, but when the site goes live on Saturday after almost a full year in development, users will immediately notice certain differences. Most obvious will be the site's aesthetics -- the look and feel. AppraisalPort will now have updated color schemes, new intuitive icons and everything is larger and easier to read on simplified screens.

"It was built with a focus on the user experience," Fisher said. "It has a responsive design that operates more fluidly, is more intuitive, and offers more visual indicators to ease navigation throughout the site." For example, first-time users can be guided through the site by an interactive training tool. Need to know how to complete your profile or how to accept an order? Training bubbles will walk you through the steps. Ready to upload a report? A brief video will show you how. And, as always, FNC Customer Support is just a click or phone call away.

"You can walk through the tour in 10 minutes and we've touched on every icon, menu, and activity pad within the site, so we're very excited about that," Fisher said.

FNC is equally excited about the site's ability to help users improve their business. A new profile completion indicator, for example, tells users how to be more visible by highlighting their qualifications and ensuring that their profile contains all the information lenders need when evaluating an appraiser for inclusion on their panel.

And for greater efficiency in the field, the site will now function on any device with a current internet browser.

FNC CEO Bill Rayburn gives credit to his employees for the site's revolutionary functionality: "Our AppraisalPort team and the work they've accomplished reflect our commitment to innovation," he said. "We are extremely proud of our AppraisalPort team, all of our people, and appreciative of all of our clients."

The new AppraisalPort was developed based on years of feedback FNC received from users of the platform--both on the appraiser side and the lender side. Additionally, a team of FNC usability experts spent weeks visiting with clients, studying how the product is used.

"We have listened to our vendor clients and succeeded in addressing a majority of their feature requests in the new AppraisalPort," said Mike Mitchell, FNC's Chief Strategy Officer. "We all like to use products that we enjoy and I believe our customers are really going to enjoy AppraisalPort."
