DC Skater Nyjah Huston Wins 2014 Street League Super Crown

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 25, 2014) - DC skater Nyjah Huston wrapped up the first ever undefeated Street League season last night, claiming the 2014 Super Crown championship title with a final win in Newark, NJ. After posting scores of 9.0, 9.1 and 8.0 throughout the final Control Section of the contest, his victory came down to a last chance do-or-die attempt. New Jersey native Ishod Wair sat in first place as the crowd rose to its feet in anticipation of Huston's possible history-making moment. He landed a solid Caballerial kickflip into the step-up for a 7.8 that clinched the top podium spot.

"It feels great," Huston said of his undefeated Street League season achievement. "It's definitely something I've always thought about doing and wasn't sure if it would be possible. But this year I felt really on point. There was a lot of practice and a lot of lucky moments. I'm stoked to win this one. It's one of the best contests I've ever skated."

Huston has been a dominant presence in Street League since its inception in 2010. No stranger to 'never been done' tricks, his three SLS titles and undefeated season will go down in the record books as unprecedented statistics, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most successful street skaters of all time.
