DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Aug 27, 2014) - Parks Associates announced today that executives from Wellness & Prevention, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, will participate in the session "Population Health Management: Tracking Technology's Impact" and host a special workout session to showcase the updated Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout App during the 2014 Connected Health Summit: Engaging Consumers.
John Vander Meulen, General Manager, Wellness & Prevention, Inc., joins executives from Alere Connect, Welltok, Optum, and Wellframe during the session "Population Health Management: Tracking Technology's Impact" on Thursday, September 4, at 10:45 a.m. The speakers will examine how technology can reshape consumers' experiences from one life stage to another and the potential for solutions like virtual care and digital coaching to reduce costs and improve care engagement and communication.
"Parks Associates research shows health-conscious consumers offer the greatest early-market potential for digital health solutions," said Harry Wang, Director, Health & Mobile Product Research, Parks Associates. "Credible, well-designed apps such as the Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout will play a key role in capturing the interest of these consumers and keeping them engaged by reinforcing positive behaviors. The Wellness & Prevention demo at Connected Health Summit will offer an important case study to our attendees."
"New and emerging technologies will be important for the digital health market over the coming years," Vander Meulen said. "Already there are tremendous advancements for consumers in managing their health using their smartphones. There are devices and apps available now that allow people to track their blood pressure, blood sugar, activity, and diet, all through the smartphone. These types of solutions that help individuals better understand and manage their own health will be key to driving ongoing engagement with consumers."
