Given that each year a single college can hire thousands of new employees – from professors to administrative personnel – higher education institutions face distinct challenges and complexities when it comes to onboarding new hires. During "Online Onboarding — What's In It for You?" Julia Bailey, senior director of product management for Equifax Workforce Solutions will join Melissa Curry, director of recruitment and staffing for the University of Florida, to share how the university moved from a bulky, paper-based onboarding process to a streamlined, full-service online onboarding system. The two experts will discuss findings from a recent Equifax white paper, "Onboarding Best Practices for Higher Education: Big Results Make the Grade," which demonstrates how a standardized, automated onboarding solution enabled the University of Florida to reduce the error rate in its new-hire paperwork from 68 percent to less than 5 percent. Attendees of the session also will hear how an online onboarding system can help them reduce costs and errors in their own processes while significantly reducing compliance risks.
