SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Sept. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nanci Bell, Co-Founder and CEO of Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, will give three keynote presentations at the Memory Matters Conference on September 27th and 28th, in Central Auckland, New Zealand. Hosted by SPELD NZ, this conference is designed to bring effective research-based practices to educators in New Zealand, with the goal of reducing underachievement in students with dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities.
The conference focuses on the importance of visualization and working memory for individuals with specific learning disabilities. Based on nearly 30 years of educational experience, and behavioral and neurological research, Ms. Bell will discuss the role of imagery in word reading, comprehension, and math.
