On Thursday, 18 September, Baltikums Bank AS Chairman of the Board Dmitrijs Latiševs and BA School of Business and Finance rector Andris Sarnovičs signed a long-term cooperation agreement.
The new agreement entails activities aimed at enhancing the content and procedure of studies at the BA School of Business and Finance, increasing availability of studies, motivating students and developing research in finance. Baltikums Bank will be investing 7500 euros during the 2014/2015 study year.
“We have great appreciation for young specialists who possess talent, a solid education and an analytical mind, who have made use of their studies to learn to understand underlying processes and find targeted models to solve each situation they encounter. BA School of Business and Finance is one of the educational institutions whose graduates have become great professionals on our team,” Baltikums Bank Chairman of the Board Dmitrijs Latiševs noted. “Quality education is a significant factor for the development of any industry, and we are obviously concerned with supporting this kind of growth. Blueprints for the future at Baltikums Bank are drawn with both vertical and horizontal lines, which means that our doors are open to this year’s graduates-to-be as well as those who have just started their studies this September,” Latiševs asserted.
“BA School of Business and Finance is very happy with the initiative taken by Baltikums Bank – this is a great contribution to increasing availability of studies by supporting talented youth, a way to get involved in improving the study process,” BA School of Business and Finance rector Andris Sarnovičs added. BA School of Business and Finance places major emphasis on research activities and integrating research into the study process: the support provided by Baltikums Bank will help support a major line of research which is finance management in business. “We are thankful to our business partners, who are aware and appreciative of the fundamental role that cooperation between educators and employers plays in improving the competitive abilities of schools as well as young talented individuals. As a result, the entire national economy stands to benefit,” Sarnovičs opined after signing the cooperation agreement with Baltikums Bank AS.
