Panera Bread and Young Women's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation Partner to Fight Breast Cancer This October Through the Sale of Pink Ribbon Bagels

PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwired - Oct 1, 2014) - Panera Bread will raise money for Breast Cancer through sales of the Pink Ribbon Bagels during the month of October. The 30 Pittsburgh area Panera Bread bakery-cafes will donate a portion of the proceeds the entire month of October to The Young Women's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation (YWBCAF) benefitting the Patient Navigator program at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.

"The YWBCAF is thrilled to be partnering again this year with the Pittsburgh area Panera Bread cafes to make a difference in the community and spread the word that all women of all ages, including young women are affected by breast cancer," said Jen Kehm, Co-Founder, Young Women's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

For the past six years, Panera has donated over $150,000 to the YWBCAF through the Pink Ribbon Bagel Campaign and the Operation Dough Nation program.

This is the seventh year the Pittsburgh area Panera Bread bakery-cafes are supporting the patient navigator programs through the sale of the Pink Ribbon Bagels.

During the month of October the Young Women's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation is the recipient of the Operation Dough Nation canisters in each of the Western Pennsylvania bakery-cafes. also.
