With the criteria defined and EHNAC accepting applications in November, these sessions will continue the formal launch of the program, and act as an open forum for the program's advisory board members to respond to feedback and questions from industry stakeholders.

Participating panelists include:

  • Devin Jopp, Ed.D, President and CEO, WEDI
  • Robert Tennant, Senior Policy Advisor, Medical Group Management Association

"Healthcare providers in the process of PMS vendor selection are searching for those vendors who can provide assurance that their protected health information is appropriately secured," said Lee Barrett, Executive Director of EHNAC. "Also, with the ICD-10 compliance deadline bearing down on the industry, these sessions are designed to help the PMS vendor community refocus on the impact this program will have on healthcare, while serving as a forum for responding to any industry concerns or questions."

The first onsite presentation will be held at the WEDI 2014 Fall Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Va. and held 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Lee Barrett will serve as host to the panel discussion, "Practice Management System Accreditation: Ensuring a Common Level of System Functionality."

Barrett's second presentation will take place later that same day (4:30 to 5:30 p.m.) at HATA's first National Conference, which is focused exclusively on the PMS industry. The presentation will continue the discussion of the joint PMS accreditation program launch from EHNAC and WEDI.
