Cleveland, Ohio, Oct. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profiles in Diversity Journal® announced today the winners of its 13th annual Women Worth Watching® Award. Winners will be featured in the publication's September/October 2014 issue, according to James R. Rector, founder, CEO & publisher.
"This is our 13th year of producing our annual Women Worth Watching issue," said Rector. "Each year, we have been humbled by the achievements of the women we profile and inspired by the message they send to the next generation of achievers."

Their first-person accounts of lessons learned during their careers--featured in the magazine's print and online editions--are insightful and thought provoking.
The women highlighted in this issue are as diverse as the industries and locations they work in, and the impacts they have had on their workplaces and their world. This year's winners include:
Ghislaine Duymelings, CEO of Manutan Benelux, who helped turn around the multichannel distributor's Netherlands-based operations and transformed the workplace culture into one that stresses personal growth, honesty, creativity, and trust.
Brigadier General Tammy S. Smith of the United States Army Reserve, the military's first openly LGBT Flag Officer. Her visibility since the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and her willingness to initiate meaningful dialogue with Pentagon leaders, has helped move the Army toward a more inclusive culture.
The Honorable Karen Wells Roby, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. In 2011, she became the first African American woman to lead the Federal Magistrate Judges Association. She also dedicates considerable time and effort to mentoring aspiring minority law students.
