(http://howardlawpc.com) today announced that it has joined Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://morgandrexen.com) in financially supporting a team of 15 low-income, high-risk students training for the LA Marathon.

"So when we learned that they were supporting the eCAL running team, we decided to join them by financially 'adopting' one of the runners as well, and we encourage other companies to do the same."
Morgan Drexen executives, who first announced financial support for the eCAL student runners in early October, began encouraging other companies to help support the runners as well. "This is an excellent opportunity to help immerse an 'at-risk' student into a situation where they will need to learn and use skills such as teamwork, dedication, commitment, scheduling, and goal setting – all skills that if used properly will prepare these teenagers for success in life when they become an adult," said Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda.
"These are skills I've used in my own life and they have served me well," added Vincent Howard. "I'm a living example of how those skills can benefit you. I've been a military police officer in the United States Army, served during 'Desert Storm,' I've excelled in college and I've become a lawyer – and every step of the way I've used the same skills that a runner training for a marathon would use."
As part of Howard Law's support of the eCAL student runners, they too encourage other companies to join them in supporting a student who is taking on the marathon training challenge.
"Long after the L.A. Marathon is over, the skills they learned and used to compete will stay with these students and help them find success in other endeavors they'll pursue," added Mr. Ledda.
To make supporting the running team as easy as possible, the team's coaches have set up a "Go Fund Me" account (http://gofundme.com/e4fg00) where individuals or companies can make their financial pledges to the team.
