WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - Nov 7, 2014) - The Washington Architectural Foundation (WAF) and the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA|DC) present the 2nd Annual Fall Design Fête on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Union Station's East Hall.
The Fall Design Fête will celebrate several individuals who make Washington better through their contributions as designers, advocates, and clients. It also supports the educational and community outreach activities of the Washington Architectural Foundation.

2014 Centennial Medal Award for distinguished service to the Chapter, community, and profession

2014 John 'Wieb' Wiebenson Award for Architecture in the Public Interest

2014 Emerging Architects Award for exceptional leadership early in a career
"Along with celebrating the contributions of these worthy individuals, the Fall Design Fête also helps fund the Washington Architectural Foundation and its many programs that benefit those throughout DC," said Mary Fitch, Executive Director of AIA|DC. "Whether we are helping children understand design through our curriculum enrichment in DC schools, aiding nonprofits with well-designed spaces to better serve their constituents, or collecting tons of canned goods through CANstruction for the Capital Area Food Bank, the Foundation is committed to making a difference in the local community."
The creative black tie evening will include a cocktail reception, seated dinner with an awards program, and a dessert buffet with dancing.
