"As organizer of the Ontario Export Awards, we couldn't be more pleased to have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate some of the province's top exporters," said Tim Dimopoulos, executive publisher with Business Information Group, part of Glacier Media Inc. "Competition for the awards was tight, and we congratulate the significant achievement of those who made the finalist round, and those who won awards."
The 2014 Ontario Export Awards were organized with the support of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME), Canada's largest trade and industry association, and the voice of manufacturing and global business in Canada.
"These Ontario companies are proof that going global begins at home," said Ian Howcroft, vice-president of CME Ontario. "We celebrate the efforts of all the nominees who have risen above the competition to take on the world and win. These truly are the brightest of exporting businesses in Ontario today."
The Ontario Export Awards were sponsored by HSBC Bank Canada (Platinum Sponsor), UPS, Lincoln Electric Company of Canada, Buffalo Niagara Enterprise and the Port of Montreal.
Dan Leslie, senior vice-president and head of corporate banking, HSBC Bank Canada, said: "HSBC has been facilitating international trade for nearly 150 years and our history in this area allows us, and our clients, to skillfully navigate the waters of doing business globally. Ontario is also home to a large percentage of this country's international companies, so this year's competition was quite strong. Congratulations to all winning companies!"
